What is KSO?

Senior Peulot

Years 9 - 12: We aim to provide our senior chanichimot with occasional zoom peulot on content ranging from Socialist-Zionism, Judaism and Hadracha (leadership). They will also have the opportunity to lead the junior movement as madatzimot (leaders) at their peulot and shabbatonim.

Aside from leading and learning together in KSO, our senior chanichimot have the opportunity to go on winter machanot (camps) in the physical kenim (Sydney, Melbourne and Perth) and on FED camp in January. This is an especially exciting time for our chanichimot to meet their federal shichvah (year group) and make new friends across the Australian Jewish community.

KSO Community Mifgashim (Outreaches)

KSO's Mifgashim (outreach events) provide an incredible space for communities to come together and for Jewish kids to Keep an eye on this space to find out more about upcoming mifgashim across Australia and in places such as Byron Bay, Central Coast and Newcastle.

We're hoping to do as many Mifgashim (outreaches) as possible this year, and we already have 12 confirmed! These events provide an incredible space for Jewish communities to come together, and for Jewish youth to access an informal Jewish education.

Junior peulot

Years 3 - 8: Our junior peulot provide a space for Jewish youth across Australia to meet and foster a sense of community, regardless of their postcode. As well as making new friends, our junior chanichimot learn about community, Judaism, Jewish values and friendship.

In junior, we will think and learn about our friendships and our experiences, and what Jewish values might influence them. We will also learn all about the chaggim and all the fun Jewish things we get to do and celebrate throughout the year! Join our database to get the details for our upcoming peulot.
