What Is Kayetzet?

Machane Kayetzet is Habonim Dror's annual Summer camp! It is open for Years 2-8. Even if you aren't a regular at Habo, camp is an open and inclusive environment for everyone.

We are also very excited to announce that we will be having a Year 2 day for those who want to experience a Habo Camp for the first time!

 

Filled with year level programs, joint programs, camp activities, ruach and, of course, vibes, it is an unforgettable camp experience!   

 

When?

Kayetzet 2019 will be running from 23rd - 27th of December 2019.

 

Yr 3-4: 24-27 Dec

Yr 5-8: 23-27 Dec

Yr 2: 23-24 Dec

Packing List

What do I bring on Kayetzet?

  • Sleeping bag

  • Pillow 

  • Shorts and t-shirts for 5 days 

  • Pants and trackies

  • Clothes to get dirty in 

  • Underwear and Socks 

  • Warm clothes (jumper, jacket, beanie)

  • Bathers

  • Hat

  • Chultzah (Habo shirt)

  • Closed shoes for walking

  • Sandals/Thongs 

  • Regular comfortable shoes 

  • Water Bottles 

  • Torch 

  • Towel

  • Toiletries

  • Musical Instruments 

  • Aloe Vera 

  • Stingoes

  • Medication (to be given to medic)​

Definitely do not bring:

  • Mobile Phones

  • iPads

  • Expensive items

  • Any food with nut items

  • Meat (including fish and gelatin)

  • Singlets

 

Please note: in order to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all chanichim on camp, Habonim Dror will confiscate the following items if found on camp. We will contact parents to organise travel arrangements and chanichim will be sent home if found in possession. No reimbursement will be provided:

 

  • Alcohol

  • Drugs

  • Cigarettes

  • Other Illicit substances

  • Explosives

  • Any kind of weapon, including pocket knives
