Welcome to FRIENDS OF HABO SYDNEY!
This is the official website for the Habonim Parents and Friends. Established in 1940, the movement has continued to grow, expand, and flourish, creating todayˇ¦s Jewish community leaders from yesterdayˇ¦s fun-loving and adventurous teenagers.
HOWEVER in order to sustain the great work of Habo, we need your support. Basically, presuming you had fun and gained a lot from the movement in your youth, while benefitting socially well into your twenties and beyond, as many of us have done, we hope that you can give back, in some small but meaningful way.
Or, perhaps you belonged to a different movement and can enhance Habo by implementing ideas from your past.
Maybe you never belonged to any youth movement but have children who are active in Habo now, or have been recently.
Help with fundraisers, suggestions of any kind, ideas for meetings or assistance for our madrichim with the running of camps; or in any way you believe you can help out, we would highly value your input.
Joining our Friends Of Habo Networt is a great starter! It requires minimal commitment, but we derive maximum effect from having input from you, our past members, as well as parents of our current members who can be a great source of ideas and inspiration so we, as like-minded adults can keep improving the movement for our children and generations to come.?
