Friends of Habo MELBOURNE

We are kicking off a new and exciting phase in Habonim Melbourne's history with the establishment of Friends of Habonim Dror Melbourne.

Friends of Habonim Dror Melbourne is for anyone who has a connection to Habo, especially ex-Bogrim and aims to support the continuation of the movement into the future.

It will connect this network of people through the creation of a "community" that upholds the values and ethos of Habo. This might take the form of events to celebrate chagim, educational sessions, family days or events to support social justice issues in the wider community.

Friends of Habonim Dror Melbourne aims to provide opportunity for each member to participate in, and nurture its growth into what is hoped will become a vibrant community. To this end, it aims to be open and transparent about its activities and financial matters.

Membership

To become a Member of Friends of Habonim Melbourne, we ask for an annual donation that will go to a fund managed by the Parents & Friends committee whose primary responsibilities are to maintain Habo House and contribute to funds for the running of Habo including the Shaliach's salary.

As a member you will receive periodic email newsletters to keep you updated on what is going on at Habo currently, news about Habo reunions, profiles on members of our community, other topics of interest as well as invitations to upcoming events and activities. It will also update you on what we are doing with the funds collected and what needs Habo has for further funds.
