i answered no.

i dont think the term 'communism' can be separated from the experience and actions of the Soviets and Maoists, and the myriad political parties that sprouted up around the world in a kind of copy/support/homage to them. (and which all became disillusioned when Stalinism was revealed..)

therefore, I reckon I am definitely not a communist, coz im not a supporter or agree'r with either the Soviet or Chinese models - tho i do have a soft spot for Fidel, but then, thats probly coz i dont know enough about Cuba..

Unlike Hayim, I feel I can differentiate between true communism and state capitalism as employed by Stalin, Mao et al (although I do find it hard to seperate them sometimes, to be sure).

I voted no, because although what I believe in could be termed communist, it is nonetheless not how I see communism. Now I'm beginning to think that without a communism definition for the purpose of this topic, voting is kinda pointless.
