Although hadracha can sometimes be frustrating and aggrevating (well, for some people), people still manage to get something out of it.

I always enjoy hadracha, it's enjoyable to know that somebody is getting something out of what you are doing and likewise.

What do you reckon?
Do you enjoy hadracha?
Is it really worth all it seems?
Do you get anything out of it? Do you look forward to it?

i love hadracha situations - i love leading in habo, i love the look on the face of people when they finally understand something they've tried so hard to work out, i love being constantly amazed at the brilliance of my chanichim, i love when my madatzim prove me wrong, i love the way i can apply hadrachah skills to everyday life, i love the opportunities and knowledge hadrachah has given me, i love it.

as if anyone wouldn't enjoy hadracha
i think that in only the beggining stages of hadracha, i have learnt so much , both about myself and about habo, that i would have missed out on so much without it.
i love being able to apply the concepts im learning in hadracha to my own life.

Damn, I'm really behind on posting and stuff aren't I? Eek. My bad.

I lurrrrrrrrrrrvvvvvvvvvveeeeee Chadricha. It's really amazing. We get to hear eachother's opinions, and we actually get passionate enough to bitch at eachother and (lol, Abi) have an (extremely corrupted, might I add) list. It's all about the list...

Nah. It's great. we've really moved closer together as a group, and have debated more passionately then we ever have before - it's so cool listening to your peers and muds Also great to learn how we each deal with different situations and stuff. I'm talking in circles, cause I dunno how to say it - I supposed we're all just more involved in habo because of chadricha. So you have no choice BUT to love it... yup.

Basically, Chadricha rocks, Barak rocks, and Habo rocks.

i think that hadracha has been one of the most enjoyable, and interesting parts of my habo experience so far.

This is the first unamnious vote ive seen - i hope it stays that way!

Lauren, I voted Not Really for the sole purpose of dashing your hopes and dreams of having the first unanimous vote.

Sorry.

we're socialists.

and jewish.

the whole POINT of communism/socialism is to like - realise/have suggested the best possible solution at the very beginning.

then to completely dismiss it, and spend a minimum of 3 hours debating it.

then to decide that maybe it IS a good idea after all.

and to have a few people who disagree just for the hell of it.

unanimous votes?! i pffft at unanimous votes. may habo never forget it's socialism/judaism, and never have an unanimous vote - at least not without a good, healthy, multiple-hour, pointless debate first!!!

gotta love socialism.

Hadracha, huray :D
Also consensus, huray :D
To throw a spanner in the works (or not, cos I suspect you may agree with me), Snow, I think hadracha does more than finally teach you what Habo is about, it teaches you the way to promote that understanding to chanichim. Thus far on Shnat I've learned a LOT about the former and not so much about the latter (although we just started teaching Bedouin kids English yesterday and Kaveret's just around the corner!).

Looking back, I had, or at least thought I had, a reasonably strong grip of what Habo is about before I did hadracha...although that understanding has changed profoundly since the start of shnat. Hadracha taught me one way to "do Habo"; and of course it's the most common way, the one we're all used to: the weekly meetings, programs, camps and gangamashlach.

One of the most critical aspects of Habo is education, interaction between maddies and channies, and leading using hadracha and personal example is...ah it's just good. For those of you who've done it, I'm sure you'll agree you learn just as much about yourself through the course of leading as your channies do on any given topic and that itself is a powerful motivator in getting kids to habo, and especially in getting them to do hadracha.
